I have such mixed feelings about "gender flipped/swapped" as book descriptors because these books almost are never by or about transgender/nonbinary people. At the end of the day, it still feels like reinforcing a binary.
Like why can& #39;t we say "subverted" or a "twist"? Oh yeah, because "gender swapped" is a commercial approach ala "girl in pants" that was developed by the cis gaze and cannot fully escape from it because it sells to a cis audience.
