It turns out that when you drown the government in the bathtub, it is not there when you need it. McArdle worked her entire career to bring us to this happy state of minimum government, lax or no regulation, and not enough healthcare. But she never thought it could kill *her.* https://twitter.com/asymmetricinfo/status/1253698757901910019
I regret to inform that hurricane season is approaching, will be especially bad, and hurricanes appears to be veering more towards the Atlantic coast, because of climate change apparently.
I hope all goes well for McArdle and her father, that he has an easy recovery and that she and Mr. McArdle do not come down with the virus. Her job isn’t done. We still have Social Security.
Oh no, they are in her dad’s home away from all the comforts of home if you know what I mean and I think you do.

You were fine with the poor dying ill because you had employer healthcare and plenty of money and the system you supported for pay would make sure that you were first in line for doctors and hospitals.
Lack of national healthcare would keep out the riffraff to ensure you always had care. And then a pandemic comes along and you find out that you are the riffraff as well. I warned her that the upper classes would suffer eventually. I guess that moment has arrived.
