After yesterday& #39;s White House press conference I decided to revisit Nirvana& #39;s "Bleach" and reader, would you believe Kurt Cobain was a time traveler from 2020? 1/X
Track 1: Blew. "And if you wouldn& #39;t mind I would like to breathe." 2/X
Track 2: Floyd the Barber. All about that lady who wanted her roots done even if it killed her. Note that Floyd breathes heavy (he& #39;s got the & #39;Rona and doesn& #39;t know it yet) 3/X
Track 3. About a Girl. A vision of voting in Wisconsin during Covid-19. "I& #39;m standing in your line." 4/X
Track 4. School. About how all schools closed for the rest of the year in 2020 due to the & #39;vid. "Won& #39;t you believe it? It& #39;s just my luck. NO RECESS!" 5/X
Track 5. Love Buzz. Honestly not sure what St. Kurt was predicting for us here. Maybe increase use of vibrators due to isolation? 6/X
Track 6. Paper Cuts. This one starts with a description of us all ordering GrubHub in quarantine ("At my feeding time she& #39;d push food through the door" and ends with the now familiar decontamination procedure we all do after touching the outside world ("A good hosing down". 7/X
Track 7. Negative Creep. I mean, aside from the obvious reference in the title, "This is getting to be drone" is a pretty solid complaint about social distancing 8/X
Track 8. Scoff. A clear reference to the Return to Workers who are willing to let Grandma die to save the economy. "Heal a million, Kill a million." 9/X
Track 9. Swap Meet. This is a portrait of the New Employment. Everyone loses their jobs and makes money selling seashell/driftwood art that says "Gather" on Etsy. 10/X
Track 10. Mr. Moustache. "Show me how you question questions." If you have seen the daily White House press briefing, you know exactly how to question questions. 11/X
Track 11. Sifting. The chorus predicts what doctors and nurses would be told when they asked for PPE. 12/X
Track 12. Big Cheese. This one is almost too obvious. "Big cheese, make me / Mine says, go to office." It& #39;s all the non-essential essential workers being told to put their lives at risk for the stock market. 13/X
Track 13. Downer. The final verdict on how our country handled this pandemic. "Wish away the pain ... surrealistic fantasy." You were right, Kurt, this is a real downer. 14/X
