There is confusing information being issued by the RCMP.
Part of the confusion is that there are MULTIPLE replica police cars.
Or at least, there were people in Glenholme who had a replica police car in their yard. Was it the same car the gunman used? It's unclear. However, at 12:30am police talked to those people about the replica police car in their yard. They talked, then left.
During the presser, the RCMP said this: "Early on in our response, we learned the identity of suspect learned he lived in Portapique when we arrived, the home and garage of suspect completely engulfed in flames, vehicles burning on property.... MORE
... We learned the gunman had a pistol and long guns. Also learned several vehicles including several that looked like police vehicles.."
But in the timeline they issued, they suggested they didn't learn about the replica car until 6:30am. So that's confusing.
OK, clarification now! Good.
They say they knew he had THREE plated vehicles that were "probably" former police vehicles.
They learned there was one car in Dartmouth, and two on fire in Portapique. They didn't know there was a FOURTH replica car.
OK, so that starts making more sense.
The fourth car wasn't plated.
So more clarification. The people in Glenholme had another replica police car, so a FIFTH car. But that car was entirely unconnected to the murder spree. Just people with a car. Which is just so weird.
The people in Glenholme tell the Examiner that the gunman had come to them in August or September wanting to buy *their* car, but they said no.
I have several questions. And this may seem petty, but I want to know more about this party that was being held, right during the COVID restrictions.
But mostly I want more information about the # of injured people, and HOW they got injured.
Gunman had a handgun and long guns. One was traced to Canada, but an unknown # of others are believed to have come from the U.S.
The Examiner has learned that the 911 call from Glenholme came at 9am, and the callers said the gunman had a pistol and a rifle.
Press conference is over. This fellow was MUCH better than the Leather, both in providing information and in answering questions. But there's still a lot of confusion and unknowns. And the timeline still isn't as clear as it should be.
People in the rural areas from Portapique to Wentworth tell us they are worried about that ~8 hour gap, and fear there are still more victims, maybe out in the woods. If there are missing people, please let us know.
