🧵 of how to increase your khushu’ during prayer:
In Ruku or Sujood:
the prophet (PBUH) said: “When a slave stands and prays, all his sins are brought and placed on his head and shoulders. Every time he bows or prostrates, some of them fall from him.” (Bayhaqi Sahih al-Jami)
So now when you pray, imagine all your sins being placed on your head and shoulders and when you go to ruku and sujood, stay longer to lose as many sins as possible and picture them falling from you.
When you stand to pray and say “Allahu Akbar”, Allah stands before you until the minute your mind goes wondering away Allah turns his face away from you and says
Is there something better than me taking you away from me?
When you say “Sami’Allahu liman hamidah” (Allah hears who thanks him) and you say “Rabanna walakal Hamd” (Our Lord, all praise is due to you).
Remember that you are thanking him for honouring you and making you stand straight in front of him

unlike the other creatures who walk on all fours with their backs bent. Thank Allah for making you able to move and pray.

First Sajdah:
When you go to the first sajdah (putting your head down on the floor) you are representing the earth from which you came from and when you get up you’re representing the first time He created you from earth.
Second Sajdah:
When you go onto the second Sajdah again on the ground, you’re representing when you die. When you get up from the Sajdah, you are representing when Allah resurrects you on the Day of Judgement. Therefore concentrate with every movement and feel it.
Ensure you make a lot of dua, remember it’s ibadah. Allah loves those who ask Him, beg Him, complain to Him. You are better of complaining to Allah than to humans. He will never betray you & let you down.He will never look down on you. He is the only one who can answer your needs
Subhanallah, think of how blessed we are to have Allah meet us and stand before us 5 times a day. He listens to us and our problems, grants us our wishes and forgives our sins everyday. You say “Allahu Akbar” and he is there. Subhanallah.
Focus on everything Allah has done for you and how you long to meet Him. He is greater than anything occupying your mind.
Hopefully we pray differently and enjoy our prayers like never before in sha Allah.
Ya Allah, accept our Salah, grant us khushu’ and forgive our sins. Ameen
