Since the 15/16, Aubameyang has always recorded a minimum of 31 goals in all comps. Excluding this unfinished season of course. You'd have to go back to a decade ago, for single digits. Quite clearly a reliable goalscorer, going hand in hand with Chelsea's weakness, converting.
Aubameyang clearly means goal output, that's not debatable. Goals win games. However he also ticks two boxes positionally. He's played RW/LW and ST at both Arsenal and Dortmund. Experienced in making off the ball runs in all zones to continue his prolific output over the years.
Those off the ball runs complement Chelsea's latest signing Hakim Ziyech. His strength is spotting diagonal darting runs into the box. As Chelsea saw first hand at Stamford Bridge in a Champions League 4-4 draw. Quincy Promes the benefactor.
Another element of Aubameyang's game that is rarely spoken about. He doesn't need to be the main man/focal point to score a truckload of goals. Acting as a Second Striker should give Abraham more time/space to operate with CB's having two direct goal threats to worry about.
Aubameyang is very much a team player. Working alongside Lacazette at Arsenal and Reus at Dortmund. He'll often tee up his striker partner for tap ins or even give them a penalty to end a barren run of form over completing a personal hattrick. Exactly the partner Abraham needs.
So, whilst complementing both Abraham x Ziyech, he allows Frank to be tactically flexible. Switching between 4-2-3-1 & 4-3-3, with 2 up top late in games now an option. A wide forward also helps in the hope of keeping Giroud. Effectively being a 2nd choice Striker but not, funny.
His timeline is also perfect for Chelsea's youth project. Now 30, within his prime. He doesn't interfere with the careers of Pulisic, CHO and Abraham. Directly blocking nobody who gains form, whilst putting a minimum of one on the bench. The definition of healthy competition.
He's played 17 games this season at ST scoring 9 goals. Playing 9 games at LW scoring 8 goals. Whilst scoring 3 goals from RW. This is consistent throughout his career. He's also won 16 points for Arsenal this season and scored 43% of their goals in the league. Incredible.
Onto durability, his fitness record is phenomenal. Since his debut, he's only missed 3 league games due to injury.
Making his first senior domestic appearance on August 1st 2008 & has featured in 364 league games since then. In almost 12 years, 3 games missed. Think about that.
Onto price, with Aubameyang entering the last year of his contract he'd be available at a cut price. Chelsea would have the upper hand in club negotiations with Arsenal at risk of losing him for nothing. In comparison to another wide forward club target Sancho, he's much cheaper.
Wages and Contract length being the only issue with the deal with Chelsea's 30+ policy. However, reportedly they were willing to break it with a 2 year deal for Willian. I see no reason considering Aubameyang's durability why 2 years + an option of a 3rd wouldn't be on the table.
Wage wise he'd command 200k-300k as an estimated weekly wage, however his current Arsenal contract comes with mouth watering bonuses. Considering what Chelsea save on the fees of not having to sign a ST and LW separately. Business wise, it's worth it. Attacking set up sorted.
Personal life wise, the move makes sense for Aubameyang. As it did for Giroud and Ashley Cole, both making the switch across London at some point. Loving the location but in search of silverware and a new challenge. Chelsea tick those boxes. A club that always finds a way.
So, these are the reasons why Aubameyang is the PERFECT signing for Chelsea Football Club. Tactically he fits like a glove, complementing others and proven domestically and in Europe.

One player, 3 positions covered, attack complete.
