Hey all, these are weird times.

We have one (1) opening on our engineering team right now.

From a technical standpoint, we're building a data format and database which is quite different from anything which currently exists.
...
We have sacrificed traditional measures of DB performance to an almost comical degree.

Inserting a single record? Super slow.
SELECT * FROM table LIMIT 1? Abysmal.

SELECT field, count(*) as c FROM table GROUP BY field ORDER BY c DESC? 7 *milliseconds* across 10B records.
...
Please get in touch with me if:

1. The above has piqued your interest.
2. You absolutely *love* performance.
3. You have deep experience in 1 or more of:
a. distributed systems
b. database design and implementation
c. operating systems
d. #golang
...
4. You are ready to work really hard to bring this to market, and deliver tangible value to our customers. And I mean *really* hard. You want to discover what the human mind is capable of. You want to improve every day. You give and receive critical feedback with care...
...because you recognize that we are frail emotional beings at the end of the day, and what we're working on is difficult enough as it is.

5. You live anywhere with a decent internet connection.
