Hard to believe I've been #DM ing for two years now. I love the #dnd hobby and all the awesome stories my players and I have gotten to tell. How about some of my favorites from my time needing the screen? (1/??)
First campaign:
Our wizard trivializing the entire first encounter with a Sleep spell that took out 2/3s of the encounter.
I was very bad at coming up with NPC names. @alexcouch still gives me crap for Karen Judith.
Successfully designing my first goblin stronghold and...
The players going from 'super gung-ho' to ' hella cautious' as soon as they stepped inside.
Our wizard getting into a ranged duel with a Barbed Devil and using all his spell slots on Shield. (This was before I knew about ranged attacks having disadvantage when there are...
Enemies in melee range)
The bear totem barbarian asking to hunt a bear when they leveled and I accidentally had a map prepared.
Finally, our fighter asked to be killed off against the big bad of the arc but I couldn't hit him to save my life. I was finally able to bring him to...
Unconsciousness as the bbeg died and improvised a devil pulling him into the Nine Hells. Rumors say he's still there.
Home campaign:
This was my first time playing in person (all others have been on @roll20app ) & it is such a different experience!
Our monk rodeod Guard Drakes...
On two separate occasions. Let me tell you, that was hilarious.
This was the first time I really worked to develop a story for the bad guy (s) and it was so much fun. I'm still really sad we didn't finish this story before the group dissolved. Bad communication hurts a campaign..
More than anything else!
Current game:
This campaign is in a world of my own creation but we started by adapting Waterdeep: Dragon Heist because the group wasn't sure they wanted to keep playing. We've since left behind the module, so I it worked out.
The team adopted an orphan
They came to own a tavern and eventually abandoned it because they, in short, became wanted by the empire the city belongs to and had to get out of dodge.
The barbarian came into the possession of a demon Lord's weapon but was able to cleanse after almost falling to the dark...
Side.
They saved the life of a pirate, who became their personal chauffer.
There's so many more but this thread is getting too long.
