I started crying during Springsteen's first few notes to kick off the #Jersey4Jersey benefit on Wednesday. But what really took the waterworks to the next level is when they visited a group home for the developmentally disabled run by @arcofessexnj

My mom worked for the Arc for 30 years and ran residential service programs for the developmentally disabled in Essex County before she passed away. The group home they showed in Livingston could have been one she managed.

The Arc does critical work for people with developmental disabilities and their families. And just like every organization, they face immense challenges as a result of the public health crisis we're all experiencing.

I love New Jersey and our state has been hit hard. But we are strong and will recover. We'll get through this by taking care of each other. There are so many organizations doing inspiring work to help their communities. I wish I could support all of them.
