Singapore based e-commerce chain #Shopee saw a spike of 2000+% in searches relating coffee and coffee products. Purchase of coffee related goods also increased by a whopping 15X!

As the world continues to stay in #lockdown, consumers are trying to find new ways to keep themselves occupied. From whipping up Dalgona coffee to banana bread to even sourdough boules, kitchens worldwide have never been busier!
Baking has been the primary passion that was pursued worldwide during the #COVID19 lockdown. #Google searches for “bread” hit an all-time high during the week of March 25!
According to Pinterest, searches for bread recipes are at an all time high, with “Japanese Brioche” & “Navajo Bread” leading the pack. Consumers baked to the point where there was an actual shortage of baking supplies in grocery chains across the #US! https://bit.ly/3eLLuYg
The official baked good of the lockdown, however, was #bananabread. Simple, delicious and Instagram worthy - it was the flour equivalent of Dalgona coffee. But what is it though, about these two items that has surpassed all borders & cultures?
