1. I'm going to do the unthinkable in this time of #Covid19 and talk a little bit about Brexit. Please bear with me.
To be clear from the outset, we are leaving the EU. The only uncertainty is how.
#StayHome
2. #Covid_19 has really highlighted a few things:
• cooperation is better than going it alone
• the EU aren't punishing us
• we need more time to prepare
• supply chains are fairly easily disrupted
3. If you voted to leave, please don't think this is a veiled attempt to stop Brexit. That's impossible, we've left. It's over. You won.

This is a heartfelt plea for support for an extension to the transition period.
4. Businesses are already struggling to deal with #Covid_19 fallout, many probably may go under.
The #NHS is under enormous strain. How about we don't just clap for them once a week, but we actually make sure that the NHS survives and doesn't disappear in a future trade deal?
5. Personally I see the end of the transition period on 31st December as an arbitrary date. What does it really matter if we take more time to get the best deal for the people of the UK?
This isn't about the EU, it's about us and our future. Let's take the time to get it right.
6. Since 2016 the UK has become polarised, families and friends have fallen out over Brexit.
Can we please just take a breath and do what is right for the greatest number of people? Let's not allow our differences to stop us doing the right thing.
7. If you think we should have more time to negotiate with the EU on our future relationship, please write to your MP to tell them. If you can't be bothered to do that, I have an even easier option, please sign this petion. Do the right thing! #Extension https://www.marchforchange.uk/extend_transition
