[Thread] 5 years ago today I joined Google. To put that in context for myself - Larry Page was still CEO, Tez was barely an idea and Google hadn& #39;t launched a Pixel phone yet
In the outside world, the world was yet to see a USB C device, Obama was the POTUS, Britain was a part of EU, Meghan Markle was a Suits actor and B.B King was still alive.
Back home in India, Thre was not a single Jio SIM sold, Swiggy was yet to raise the first round of funding, http://Housing.com"> http://Housing.com was the hottest startup that had just raised $90M and Bumrah had never played international cricket.
Its been the most phenomenal 5 years watching the company, country and the world grow and take some dramatic turns on the way. But the most valuable thing for me has been the people I met and things I learnt - both at work and outside.
Here& #39;s a shout-out to every mentor, every colleague, every friend and every family member who got me here.
