Lads did I miss the memo where restrictions have been lifted? Cos it seems quite a few people in Ballina got one ...heaps of traffic, plenty of pedestrians and an alarming lack of social distancing (and lest it need to be clarified, I was out delivering dinners)
We've done really well so far, can we not just stick with it for one more week and see where we are then? Less of the "it'll be grand" and more of the "just in case" ... please?
Also: Quit whinging to Simon Harris about being bored and demanding to know next steps. For now, if we want to save lives, we just do the one simple thing we've been asked. Stay. Home. It's absolutely not fun, it's hard economically too, but the alternative is dead relatives.
And FINALLY, cos this has been bugging me all day, if you're downing tools cos the govt got some things wrong, or if Mary next door has abandoned social distancing and is having a great time for herself and you're not, and you're thinking, 'f**k it', stop and look at yourself. >
YOU are still an adult with a civic responsibility, not a child hankering over what others have & you don't, or complaining about what's "fair".Ferries, fruitpickers or Mary up the road partying does not absolve YOU of YOUR moral obligation, nor your capacity for decision-making.
Glad to get today's rant off my chest
(My fella really does not know how lucky he is to be living in another house during this time 😁) Obviously, some ppl do of course have genuine reasons to be out. Rate of traffic increase however strongly suggests not all.
