When we plan the ZITF official opening, we always know it would come and go in the blink of an eye. We are always pushing ourselves to do better and always complain of being tired....

BUT we have no idea how much fun we’d have along the way. Sometimes we forget this event is, first & foremost, an anchor & the MVP of the whole ZITF... the kids come to ZITF for Today. Artists, business people, politicians, VIPs, even the Guest of Honour only comes to ZITF TODAY

Actually, everyone comes to ZITF because of TODAY. So today, I had a dream... This year's opening was unique. Most people stayed at home & are watching on TV. The social distancing laws have restricted the attendance to only 500 people at the Arena.

Everything was on TIME !!!!
1146: We are all now seated at ZITF main arena where our Guest of honour is expected to officially open the 61st edition of the trade fair. Dignitaries are slowly making their way into the arena awaiting the arrival of the VVIPs.

1145: The ZDF parade is now marching into the main arena.

1205: Service chiefs now making their way into the main arena, being led by Commander ZDF

1213: Chief Justice Luke Malaba has arrived at the main arena.

1228: President Mnangagwa & our Guest of Honour has arrived.

1231: The National Anthem is now being sung to mark the start of the official proceedings. As the National Anthem is sung there is a flypast.

1233: The guard commander is now inviting the Guest of Honour to inspect the guard of honour.

1247: Parade Commander is requesting permission from the Commander in Chief to march past & off the arena, permission which is granted by Guest of Honour.

1247: As the official programme begins the new chairperson of ZITF @BusisaMoyo takes to the podium to give opening remarks

1310: Industry & Commerce Minister @SekaiNzenza takes to the podium to give his remarks after which she will invite the guest of honour.

1317: Guest of Honour is now on the podium.

1340: The visiting head of state ends by declaring the trade fair officially opened & wishes businesses well as they engage in various deals during showcase.

1341: ZITF officials @stellankomo & @tee_dee01 invite Guest of Honour to present trophies to exhibitors that excelled.

1358: The Mass Display incorporating Drum majorettes, traditional dancers, drummers, and the Prisons Band comes on to the field and lights up the Arena with dazzling and colorful displays showcasing Zimbabwe's amazing talent.
