step 1: make tahini
- tahini is so expensive but it& #39;s actually really easy to make at home!! plus you can save on jar space if you only really need a few tablespoons at a time

step 1a: toast sesame seeds and grind
- toast seeds over low heat until it starts smelling nutty (i used 1/4 cup)
- it& #39;s too small quantity for a food processor but i do enjoy working out a bit by using a classic pestle, but if you do plan on making a lot then use what& #39;s easier

step 1b: add oils
- i start with 1/2 tsp sesame oil just to enhance the flavor
- then add 1 tsp of any neutral oil at a time, mixing in with the pestle* until you get the consistency you like (i used light olive oil)
- salt to taste as always!
