new layout because i can

now here& #39;s a thread of reasons why you should watch zoey& #39;s extraordinary playlist (without spoilers) because i& #39;ve grown to absolutely adore that show
#ZoeysPlaylist
1. it& #39;s a musical. need i say more?
2. it& #39;s a dramedy. there& #39;s comedy for those who want something light-hearted, but also emotional moments for those who are suckers for that.
3. the main character is a successful young woman in tech with her boss being a woman too. there are themes surrounding male-female dynamics in the work ebvironment.
4. there are key characters who are poc and clearly aren& #39;t there just for diversity points, but serve a purpose in the story.
5. there& #39;s a black genderfluid character and there is a full story that focuses on his struggles with self-expression in church. his identity is made clear without making it his whole personality. i& #39;m not genderfluid or poc, but i feel like his character is handled pretty well
6. speaking of religion - it& #39;s tackled neutrally and in a respectful manner. the show also expresses the viewpoint that everyone has the right to choose their path in faith and it shouldn& #39;t be forced.
tw // suicide

.

7. zoey& #39;s extraordinary playlist deals very well with the idea of losing a loved one, whether it be to illness or suicide.
8. men& #39;s emotionality is a constant theme. there& #39;s no black and white "men don& #39;t cry" or "men bad women good" attitude present. the emotional hardships of men aren& #39;t undermined and i think that& #39;s really important.
i can& #39;t think of any more that wouldn& #39;t spoil the story as of now and i& #39;m also only on episode 5, so i might add to this thread later on.

basically - watch zoey& #39;s extraordinary playlist
