When your friends say the body positive movement, and specifically models like Tess Holliday, are “too positive” and “bad for society”

I didn’t realize so many of my non-fat friends thought fat people don’t know they’re overweight. NEWSFLASH: We fucking know.
broke: BPM encourages people to become/stay obese
woke: B/c of BPM many of us now see our bodies represented in media, making us feel more accepted as human beings
bespoke: People might grow more comfortable going to the gym and other spaces where they usually feel fat-shamed

Every time a plus-size model is in any ad that’s not for plus-size clothing, the comments are always:
“She’s a cow!”
“This promotes the obesity epidemic!!”
“I don’t want my kids to see this!”
Can we just EXIST please?? Our bodies aren’t propaganda machines for the ‘Fat Agenda’

Finally, if you think it’s easy for a fat person to lose weight, think again. Your resting metabolism drops dramatically after losing a significant amount of weight. Doctors are extremely biased against fat people. An obese woman has a 0.8% chance of ever being a normal weight.
