865: Massacre on Arafat Mountain - Hajj cancelled

930: Qarmatian attack - black stone stolen and taken to Bahrain by Ismaili Shia sect, Hajj cancelled for 10 years.

983: Abbasid and Fatimid Caliphates - politics getting in the way of pilgrims - Hajj cancelled for 8 years.
1831: Plague - Plague from India kills 3/4 of the pilgrims in Makkah.

1837-1858: Series of epidemics - Plague in 1837 stopped Hajj for 3 years until 1840, 1846 - Cholera outbreak killing 15,000 people from Makkah, further outbreak in 1858, cancelled hajj for a total of 7 years.
