2. It took a court intervention ( https://bit.ly/3azL2sS ) by @KELINKenya & three gentlemen one deceased to challenge this practice in this case the court ruled that prions is not the contemplated place of isolation #TBIsNotACrime #justice2health @DrMercyKorir @LucicaDitiu

3. The court further directed that @MOH_Kenya among other things develop a policy on the involuntary confinement of persons with TB & other infectious diseases in line with the Constitution & @WHO guidelines & best practices #TBIsNotACrime #justice2health

4. @NTLDKenya & @MOH_Kenya did comply & in a consultative manner developed a policy https://bit.ly/3eLp0Xt  whose point of emphasis was, provide information and support before you resort to involuntary confinement & follow due process #justice2health

5. We now fail to understand why @MOH_Kenya can't use some of the lessons learnt in #TBIsNotACrime to handle the #COVID19KE mandatory quarantine response & why they have adopted to quarantine those who breach curfew regulations when the law does not provide for it #justice2health
