All these are unfounded conjectures.
Herd immunity is the only way.
Why is it so is easy to understand. So bear a bit patience.
But first, let's come at mortality rates.
The clinical consequences of Covid-19 are similar to a flu or severe seasonal+ https://twitter.com/haryannvi/status/1253547526457786368?s=19
What's my evidence?
For starters, New England Journal on Medicine.

Research by Jay Bhattacharya puts mortality rates even lower.

Why? Because the mortality rate we're getting from crude data were not done based on antibodies test.+
Coming to the approach of Lockdown first. Indians live in closed quarters, and not in separate homes that we imagine. So social distancing in India is not how it is imagined to be. Let's say a Corona positive emerges after the Lockdown is over. Does that mean that nationwide+
Lockdown will be imposed again?
At what cost?
50% children under the age of 5 are malnourished in India, AFTER we've had years of government welfare measures, voluntary charity and parents earning. Now they're not earning. What will be the impact of that? Crores will die from +
starvation. Moreover, since almost nobody is earning, tax collections will decline, which will lead to less expense on health. Will that make us less capable to save lives in coming times or more? Our current health capabilities are absorbed in battling a disease whose clinical+
consequences are that of a flu.
On the hotspot approach: It rests on the assumption that we can identify and cure ALL positive cases. But we don't have means to identify all positive cases, which makes the approach pointless. +
On comparing with US, UK, Italy et cetera, our immunity is strong compared to residents of these nations since we already are used to living in horrible environment. No Englishmen can drink the kind of water we drink without getting sick. Our DNA is different. Climate is +
different. Demographics are different. Et cetera.

To sum up, what the Lockdown is doing is merely postponing the inevitable toll that corona will take, clubbed with the enormous economic devastation. Government has no right to let people die of starvation instead of them +
choosing to do their karmic thing.
Keep elderly and sick at home, exercise precaution, and let normal life resume. An individual's life is not independent of the functioning of an economy. The cost of lockdown clearly overweighs its advantages. @haryannvi
