Due to a very long debate about the logistics of being transgender in our society today, and what proper treatment looks like, I'll be compiling this thread of sources to look at about the subject. If you want to add any or correct me at any point, go ahead, just please cite too!
DISCLAIMERS: I'm cis and not a professional, so I'll be using actual research and articles to back up my claims. I only have the right to speak as someone close to transgender people and someone who took my time to research, that's all. I only want to bring awareness and support!

Firstly, here's a general overview of what being transgender means, just to clarify any misconceptions.

I was requested to find any sources exploring the financial effects of therapy on transgender patients, but that's not something I can find many sources for, so I'll list some proven LGBT+ friendly organizations to supply safe guidance and more info.
1. The Trevor Project
This is one of the most commonly known ones, and is centered on LGBT+ youth as a whole. https://www.thetrevorproject.org/?gclid=CjwKCAjwnIr1BRAWEiwA6GpwNb4NU_nYNDY2F36l6VcEO1ZrRaiFz3q5rU14aOVwddwOQUKi1yzXnRoCqdYQAvD_BwE

If there's any additional resources you'd like me to add or fix, please let me know. Like I've mentioned previously, I'm not a professional, just a cis ally who wants to spread awareness for my trans friends out there. I hope this threat can be helpful to you guys

I also want to repeat I'm not a professional, just someone doing the best research I can at 4 AM. I plan to go back to this thread at another (and less sleep deprived) time, but I felt very passionately about this and needed to get this out of my system.
Regardless of your opinions on the LGBT+, these are the facts of the situation, so please take this time to set aside your prejudices and preconceived notions to let yourself realize that just like anyone else, trans people deserve the same basic rights as any other person.
Treat everyone with respect, and help foster an equal world; one where those who live their lives without hurting others receive equal generosity in treatment. Stay safe out there friends, and please, be kind to each other. We all need that right now.
