ppl who tell others to lose weight bc they’re “concerned for their health” don’t actually care about ur health, bc if they did they would know mental health is also a form of health, they just want an excuse+

to fat shame. ppl need to stop worrying about others bodies.
& they wouldn’t bully someone if that was their intention.
i’m aware some people do genuinely care, but a majority do not. if someone is just living their best life and their curves happen to be showing, you do not need to bring them down. let them live!
sadly there are people out there who say “you dropped this

” and say “chill it’s just a joke” when people come after them for it.. but the thing is, you have no idea how damaging that could be to the person you said that “you dropped this

”

then there are those people who say “yeah and that won’t be long” when someone comments “guys stop bullying him/her/they! they’re just living their best life!”
then there are those who make the lizzo joke, which 1) lizzo is such a powerful and talented woman, and body shaming her is not cute or a personality trait.
then we got the people who just straight up body shame: i will never understand how people can bully someone off of their weight, skin color, sexuality, height, etc
then we got the ones who tell overweight people to “stop eating” 1) if you’re going to become that persons doctor all of a sudden, you would know starving yourself isnt the way to go! when you starve yourself, your body holds onto your fat cells, meaning, it’s almost impossible+
to lose weight, if your body is holding onto it.
then we got the MEN who say girls who are over 130-200 arent attractive, first of all we don’t want you, you dumb lizard lookin ass bitch, and if you don’t accept someone because of their weight you can LEAVE
then we got the people who say “you’re unhealthy” or “being obese is not something to celebrate” wow! thank you for the eye opener! sorry for feeling confident you dumb fuck!
i saw someone being happy in their body saying “i’m gonna tag all my favorite obese ladies” and the comment section did NOT pass the vibe check. just let her live?? if it makes her happy then LET HER
then we got the people who say “bring bullying back” no..let’s not. that could cause (tw) suicide, body image issues, lower their self confidence, and it most certainly will not cause weight loss. but you know what will? encouraging them and telling them they’re pretty.
and, i can tell you from personal experience, bullying does not encourage weight loss.
it encourages suicidal thoughts, and can lead to anxiety, depression, and other mental disorders.
bullying i guess worked for some people? but that does not mean we should bring it back.. i mean if bullying helped you lose weight, i’m sorry that’s how it happened but do NOT encourage people to bully others for them to lose weight. not everyone has the mental stability as you.
someone should be able to wear, act, eat, and LIVE how they want without judgement from other people. you are not their doctor, so do not worry about their body. if you happen to be worried about them, please address it to them KINDLY, there’s no need to be rude about it.
losing weight is not as easy as putting it on, and some people do not have the time to work out (and if someone doesn’t want to work out, that does NOT make them lazy) they don’t have the money for a gym, or they just don’t have the motivation.
please do not assume something based off of what you see on the outside. we are human too. yes, under all this fat there IS a heart. i know, hard to believe right?
you don’t know if that person has a disorder that causes for them to gain weight, but also makes it so they cannot lose it. you don’t know if that person is going through a hard time in their life. you don’t know if there’s a REASON theyre over it or if there’s a reason+
they’re not losing weight. losing weight is so hard, and when there are strangers, peers, and adults telling you what to do with your body, it makes it so much harder.
so please, if you see someone who is over weight getting harassed in the comments, please hype them up. tell them they’re pretty. guess what? you don’t HAVE to mean it. but they don’t know that. it takes 2 seconds to be kind.
and before i end this thread, just because someone says they are not bothered by hate comments, does not mean they actually aren’t affected. “but it’s just a comment” it doesn’t matter if it’s just a comment.. body shaming jokes are not cute.
it’s 4:20am rn and i started this at 3:50 so i hope u read this
can u believe a 13 yr old is saying common sense that adults and most teenagers can’t! that’s how simple being kind is! and that’s also how much of an issue body shaming is, if a 13 year old just said all of that..

anyway, goodnight! normalize not being racist, homophobic, fatphobic, transphobic, (etc) and normalize being normal(kind!)
i’m realizing now there’s a ton of grammar errors, but again! it’s 4:30am for me
