What if the problem is that we dont understand yet the problem?

Maybe the problem is that we are trying to find one solution for not one problem, but many problems.

#COVID19
Size of the city seems to matter.

Big cities with public transportation works completely different than small cities or villages.
Size of the city.

Interaction between people is bigger in many ways. Shoping in a big store means infected people (or surfaces) can spread the 🦠 to many people in miles around. Also social distancing and cleaning is more dificult due to so many people.
Size of the city.

In small villages people interact less. You have more flexibility if you organize well.

Ej: People from 2-40 can only go to shop only on afternoons.
People from > 40 can only go in the morning.

Cleaning is easier too this way.
Size of the city.

Following previous tweet.

Age of the people is also something to consider. By splitting older from younger, you keep older and more vulnerable people safer.
Age.

The problem is different depending on the age of the people.

Old people are very vulnerable.

This means the problem seems different for Spain(where i live) where 40% of the people is 55+ than in countries with younger people.
Maybe we should try to approach to this problem by splitting it in smaller parts instead of trying to find a unique solution for many different problems.
I think is important to open your mind to possible different solutions without the filter of politics.

With information and acting according to this information is easier to take better decisions.
5 points to take better decissions.
1. Listen to the doctors and Health experts and learn as much as you can on how the virus works and how epidemics spread.

Specially listen to those who have been fighting the virus.

A great source of information and different views is @naval Covid19 list. Thx for that list.
2. Once you know enough to start.

Follow the recomendations you learnt in step 1.

Wash your hands when you can and more if you are in a place where you can get infected or infect others. Soap and water.
Act logically. Do not reinvent the wheel.
Use mask. If you are in contact with other people especially. Be polite with others.

The message is:

Thanks for wearing a mask to protect me. I give you back the same courtesy by wearing a mask to protect you.
Isolation or social distancing seems to work to reduce the curve.

If you live in a hotspot help the healthcare workers by reducing the rate of infection as much as you can.
3. If you are in the position of taking the decissions, find the leaders in your community, explain them the situation and ask them to help you by doing what they do best, leading.
4. Study your country not as a whole, but as the sum of many parts. Isolation can be the best solution for a part, herd inmunity can be the best solution for other part, other solutions can also work. Don’t discard anything at first.

Many solutions to many problems.
5. Once you have a plan, there are many problems associated.

Logistics. People have to eat, have to pay bills, people have to take their medicines. There are workers who can’t stop. Etc...

Take care of this people
For food @chefjoseandres is making an spectacular work (as always). Feeding people and inspiring others. Thanks chef for everything and for makings us proud of been your compatriotas.

For other people helping, please live messages in this thread.
Thanks to all people helping to make this problem a little smaller. I would not have enough space to thank all of them. So if you are one of them, you know it’s for you.
It’s easy to forget but big countries/economies have a responsibility with the people in their countries but don’t forget others with less resources.

Can be devastating for countries like India, Mexico, Nigeria and many others. Helping them today is helping you tomorrow.
This is just my opinion. Of course I could be wrong or don’t have all the information. If this is the case I’m open to other ideas.
