Every other day, there's a video of an Oyinbo child speaking confidently or doing some stuff we don't associate with Nigerian children, we all oooh and aaah
But before the average Nigerian child is 6 or 7, they would have used beating to destroy half that confidence.
We beat Nigerian children and teach them not to challenge authority, not to have opinions.
They cannot be goofy and do a billion things children should be able to do, because beating is sure even if they touch daddy's phone.
Yet, we want to raise another generation like this.
Let kids be kids and stop obsessing over discipline so much that you raise another generation of people who aren't bold or can't speak for themselves
6-year-olds are on America's got talent, our own dey Primary 3, still need teacher assistance for for stage for small choreography
