Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is a Ugandan Military Officer. He was born on April 24, 1974, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to General @KagutaMuseveni and Maama @JanetMuseveni

He attended schools in Tanzania, Kenya and Sweden. While in Uganda, he attended Kampala Parents School & St.Mary College Kisubi. He then joined Nottingham University, UK from where he graduated with a BA in Political Science in 1997.

He then joined the army in 1999 as an officer cadet, attended a one year commissioning course at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in UK, where he graduated in 2000 and was promoted to Second Lieutenant, assigned to the Presidential Protection Unit.

He thereafter attended the Egyptian Military Academy for a Company Commanders Course, and Battalion Commanders Course.
He went on to attend the Kalama Armoured Warfare Training School, Mubende, where he pursued an Armoured Warfare Course.

In 2007, he was admitted for a one year course at the US Army Command & General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, graduating in 2008.
Following this, he successfully completed the Executive National Security Programme at the South African National Defence College.

Following his graduation from Fort Leavenworth, he further successfully completed the Executive National Security Programme at the South African National Defence college. He was then promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and appointed Commander of the SFC.

He participated in pacifying Eastern, Northern Uganda against the LRA, He commanded the Commandos Unit that eliminated ADF terrorists that had invaded Western Uganda from DRC in 2007.

He commanded the specialized operations Force component during Operation Lightning Thunder that dislodged the LRA in the Garamba Forests of Congo.

General Muhoozi later took part in AMISOM'S efforts against AL'Shabab, which was decisively defeated.

General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is currently the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations. A task that has seen him empower Jua Kali works in form of metal works, Sports, performing arts and other critical activities in the Central Business District, Kampala.
