A short but disturbing story
A report by a portal recently said the sadhus lynched in Palghar belonged to a nomadic tribe, and insinuated that they weren’t really Hindus
A report by a portal recently said the sadhus lynched in Palghar belonged to a nomadic tribe, and insinuated that they weren’t really Hindus
If the report stopped at mere insinuation, the author of the report directly said on social media that they “have nothing to do with Hinduism”
Several other reports however refute the claim
Ground reports by Dainik Bhaskar and Aaj Tak say the sadhus belonged to UP and were born in Tiwari and Dubey families, based on their video interviews with their kin

When I pointed this to the author, she blocked me, protected her account and even hid some inconvenient comments
The claim in the report has since been picked up by several other publications. What looks like a lie is spreading fast
