Working with survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) @Family__Matters and training with leading professional @Chrissie1in4 I am aware of the affect trauma has on the body. As MH professionals we all need to be trauma informed in our practices. Relationships heal. 5./
van der Kolk investigated how trauma changes brain processes & did the first research linking BPD & deliberate self-injury to trauma and neglect in early childhood. We know ACEs impact MH,it's time now that appropriate funding given to CAMHS to support our children in crisis. 6./
