In today's @timesredbox I've got a first look at how MPs will be voting from home
I'm told the aim is for remote voting is to be up and running in the first week of May, four weeks after digital bods were asked to start working on it
More exclusive details of how the remote voting system is shaping up https://thetimes.co.uk/edition/news/testing-testing-1-2-3-bph2j35sq
Some MPs are sceptical - one told me system was not secure enough, and without additional features “there’s nothing to stop an MP logging in then going out and leaving their wife, husband, child or dog to vote on their behalf”
Should also stress this is all still subject to approval, but feels like MPs would need very good reasons to block it if the tech is there
