We have lived for decades with old age homes that were completely unsupervised where the elderly were warehoused. We knew. We just ignored it. #coronaviruscanada

Tonight this lovely man a few rooms down from my Dad at his nursing home died of Covid. But more scary was the doctor on the news saying the problem is dehydration. These patients take an hour to eat and are not being fed and hydrated enough. #CoronavirusCanada

My friend has a camera in her mom's room and could see that is what is happening with her. Twice, they intervened. We don't have that and we can't see my dad and it is very worrisome. How can this be care in Canada? #CoronaVirusCanada

Canada sent two planes to China to get equipment but were unable to arrange things logistically so the planes came back empty. We also bought thousands of masks from China which have been deemed unsuitable. #CoronaVirusCanada

My mother, who lived through WW2, asked me how it is possible we can't convert factories to make PPE equipment. In WW2, we were able to convert factories to make armaments!! #coronaviruscanada

We have a PM who is throwing money at everything and who is like an actor reading his lines. I don't think he really gets that he is in charge and is supposed to do things! We need a national strategy, not someone to let us know how deeply he feels. #coronaviruscanada

On top of that 22 people were killed in Nova Scotia and the stupid authorities never used the emergency alert system but put it on Twitter. That at least has generated outrage.

But mostly we are passive and self satisfied. Convinced of our own superiority. We are nicer and more competent than everyone. ( Read the US) #CoronaVirusCanada

It's that passivity and self satisfaction that got us here. It's why we let flights in from China. ( Trudeau isn't racist like Trump. Remember that) were late on gloves and masks and our leaders utter empty words as they struggle and see what others do. #coronavirusCanada
