Things I realised during this pandemic (thread):
1. People I thought were super nice and well off refused to pay their house help.
2. People I thought were educated acted like little shits towards people who contracted COVID-19.Abused them/wanted them thrown out of the vicinity

3. Vegetable or fruit vendors / poor people gave me food every single day to make sure cows/ monkeys were fed because they knew I went at a particular time. They wanted to make sure the animals were fed.
4. People I thought were assholes made sure daily wagers were fed.

5. Unlike the stories I hear and read over here, the cops are very helpful. They’ve only helped me feed the dogs and not been mean even once. I’ve become a real fan during this lockdown. Personal experience trumps everything else.
6. Most people only care about themselves. It takes a special kind of person to understand that there are people/ animals who need help too. I’m very grateful that I saw a lot of these people on social media and outside.
7. People who clapped the loudest for health workers (in my locality Atleast) were the first ones to complain that they might bring COVID to the locality and shouldn’t live here. A lot of people are scum. I hope all doctors refuse to treat them.
8. Cops and health workers are the real heroes. They’re the real celebrities and we don’t acknowledge or appreciate that enough. Next time someone throws around the word celebrity, I will definitely bring this up.
9. Life won’t be the same even with COVID-19 gone. We will know the real assholes amongst us. Will we forgive Sharma uncle for not paying his maid? Or Mehta aunty for wanting Dr Singh thrown out? Or Agarwal uncle for abusing a sick person?
10. And finally, the world will be ending but people on twitter will still be fighting about how their political preference trumps everyone else’s.
