This needs to be talked about somewhere. NUSRL has a culture of social boycotts on its campus. I was boycotted thrice in my first year. Later some senior joked "Har saal ek titli gang hota hai. Sab boycott hote hain" as if it's okay to do this to young women. https://twitter.com/arushisigh/status/1253577952035368961
Young women living away from home for the first time are boycotted under pressure by seniors first and then when the class has learnt the MO they're boycotted at whim whenever they act on their own.
This is normal on this campus. On a law school campus. @NUSRL_Ranchi
This is normal on your campus @NUSRL_Ranchi
You should not even be allowed to take new admissions until you deal with this problem.
I had called out one sexist note on my social media and that lead to this.
This is not the first time it happened either. This began the very first time with a rumour that me and my friends said "Fuck seniors". The seniors specifically asked everyone to not talk to us and my spineless reptile classmates complied.
People used to leave two benches of
distance from us and then sit even in a packed classroom.
This is not even the worst thing on the campus. A teacher looked at my tits the entire duration of my presentation and the class instead of calling him out laughed at me.
I felt dehumanised and shitty.
I stopped eating partially wishing that I would lose weight and tits would go away because of how fixated seniors seemed 2 be with them.
My then fling was asked what it felt like 2 grope them by other boys in d hostel.
I went into severe depression and I have debilitating anxiety
My body freezes up at the thought of going to college even today due to what I went through on NUSRL campus. I have stopped participating in class and I limit my interactions to people. I overthink every small detail of what I say. All because of 4 months of constant bullying
When I joined college my hostel room had a clean door. Within two weeks there was a profanity on it. That should still be there if the authorities haven't painted over them.
This happened after we proposed a mass bunk to protest the electricity problem on campus.
We had 6-7 hour long powercuts on the campus for multiple days. Protesting this warranted a profanity on my door. Showing me my place.
