Atsushi Nakajima (1909)
-one of his books called "Moon over the mountain" is about a weretiger/tigerman. this is where his ability 'beast beneath the moonlight" also came from.
Osamu Dazai (1909)
-"No longer human" ability is based from his book with the same title.
-attempted suicide several times but survived
-comitted suicide and died together with his mistress in Tamagawa canal (drowning)
Doppo Kunikida (1871)
-also had a private diary called 'an honest record'
-a former math teacher
Edogawa Ranpo (1894)
-author of detective novels
-one of the foundations of japanese mystery fiction
-ranpo is a pen name inspired by his admiration to edgar allan poe
Miyazawa Kenji (1896)
-also from the countryside/rural village.
-'Undefeated by the Rain' ability was inspired by his famous poem with the same title.
Akiko Yosano (1878)
-controversial feminist (women's rights) and social reformer (critic of concept of bushido, war)
-"thou shall not kill" is one of her poems about her younger brother.
