bfb 9 start: the entire concept of marker just. eating dirt is great on its own but combined with the fact that it was coiny who asked him to eat dirt is hilarious. we never talk about coiny eating dirt

one of my favorite audio gags is the algebraliens squeaking like squeaky toys, all powerful beings sound like things my cat chases around

X is SILLYYYYY and is DUMB i love him. on the topic of that we get more characterization of X in bfb 9 than the entire series let that sink in

this shape tween when X walks offscreen makes me imagine him turning into an incomprehensible form which is why he builds so fast

i love this drawing of x, its like his arms just gave out and are sprawled on the ground like noodles

i like the running gag where each challenge woody dabs BEEP loses

bfb 9 overall thoughts: short and sweet! I like how X was portrayed here, not as a softboy but as someone who is unsure of what to do and is making stuff up on the spot, yet still wants to prove themself even if they dont show it. i didnt find myself laughing at much but its ok

bfb 10 start: i just realized something X never talks about wanting four back or anything thats fucking hilarious

one thing i wanna say i think pokey's animation style inspired MY animation style the most with the lipsync and more organic movements (even though im playing around with tweens now) watching it back then i was like "oh my god bfb spiked in quality"

THIS SEQUENCE ALWAYS GETS ME GIDDY i love the sense of speed and momentum and how flowers arms flail around after she lands from flying and she has to re-balance herself with her arms its SO well animated

her side-flaps are called wings for a reason

bfb 11 overall thoughts: its was a super entertaining episode jam-packed with jokes, drama, etc. and i can never get enough of it <3 S tier

bfb 12 start: bro we are eating lunch together its ok if you scoot closer bro

4 and X are so fun this episode and the way they banter i just wish four didnt have to slap x

oh my god if their relationship was pushed to be different the elimination would be so much more watchable

bfb 12 overall thoughts: prolly one of my favorites to re-watch, it had one of the most creative challenges ive ever seen and the dialogue was really entertaining, good episode like it

now we're getting into the final 5 episodes which are what i would call the "spike" so im gonna get a water and chip and bundle up for this wild ride that is bfb 13 (and 14)

bfb 16 overall thoughts: it was ok but there was. so many things wrong with the first half but two is here so everything is ok

i will NOT cover bfb 17 because my interest levels look like this:

so thats the entire watchthrough! what i got out of all of this is that in the future there are some things to look out for in terms of the themes and lessons being pushed but to also remember the childish and carefree nature that makes the show great. its a real shame how (cont)

bfb is getting to feel more corporate and. hmmmmm. im not gonna even GO into the deal with the tpot team (theyre so talented and deserve better) but maybe things in the future will turn up for the better?
