Okay. I need to know the consensus. Weird gnome hair colors: are they natural or dyed?

Personally? I like to think they're a leftover trait from their mechagnome lineage. Mechagnome energy colors could reflect some more unusual gnome hair colors such as blue, green, and pink. Could also correspond to eye color?

Since gnomes are subterranean I also headcanon that they have eyeshines like a cat so they can see in low-light environments. Eyeshine color would directly reflect optic color in mechagnomes. Irl eyeshines can be blue, green, yellow ... all viable optic colors.

Everyone crowing on and on about "titanforged races haven't been around long enough to evolve different skin colors!!!" seem to forget that, idk, this is a world of magic. We've got no idea how leylines and the like would affect a race's potential to evolve and adapt.

In any case: it's fun to explore and consider! Azeroth genetics must be wild.
