Aaron Rodgers was a potential number 1 overall pick. Jordan Love is... not.
You draft a rookie QB to play them and take advantage of their low $$$ cost controlled years, allowing you to stack the rest of the roster. The only way the pick makes sense is if you know Rodgers is retiring soon / getting traded / or Jordan Love is Aaron Rodgers.
Spinzone: a pissed off and bearded Rodgers is definitely throwing 65 touchdowns next year. Super Bowl. Book it.
(For the record, I hope Jordan Love is the next Pat Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, and a smart play caller that builds a system to his strengths is arguably the most important thing for that, but I have a couple more tweets to get off)

This is such a suboptimal use of resources. There are only so many ways to improve your team, and a first round pick is a key one. Yes, your first round pick might bust or not contribute, but the Packers are guaranteeing that their first round pick won't contribute this year.
49ers added Nick Bosa and Deebo Samuel. Ravens added Hollywood Brown. Chiefs used their picks to add Frank Clark and Mecole Hardman. Titans added AJ Brown. Hell, the Packers added Darnell Savage and Elgton Jenkins. You were in the NFC Championship game and you punted this choice.
