The Vikings trade Stefon Diggs for a player who is unlikely to ever become as good as Stefon Diggs.
I get that the Diggs trade wasn& #39;t all Minnesota& #39;s doing, and you can argue their & #39;hand was forced& #39;, but the only way to frame this move is one of damage limitation.
They limited the damage, but they got worse.

I think trading down is very smart there for the Vikings.
CBs they like are slipping a little, and you pick up two more picks to get a chance to still get your guy.
See, not all hate.

I think that& #39;s a great fit for the Vikings. Gladney or Jaylon Johnson I think both would have been perfect for that D
Wrote that Vikings had a really small target to hit to ace this draft, but Round 1 went about as well as it could have for them:
CB: Hit their biggest need. Perfect schematic fit.
WR: Big need, replaced Diggs.
Traded down and picked up draft capital on top of it.
