A dear friend who owns a small business applied at @Chase for the PPP SBA loan. His application was processed and submitted to the SBA according to Chase on April 5th

Today he was sent a Chase document to sign for “Stage 3” before they could submit his application (they already submitted it)

When he read the “stage 3” note from Chase he noticed Paragraph 5b, releasing Chase bank from any liability and damage caused by their handling and processing of the loan.

So Chase is holding up funds to small businesses that already applied early and are refusing to fund them until they sign a document relieving them of fraud and liability. I wonder why .
