Many resisters are finding their voices silenced by what appears to be automated enforcement actions taken by @TwitterSupport on the basis of malicious mass reporting.

In a nutshell, we're being targeted.

Our adversaries are rejoicing in Twitter automating its enforcement.

1/
I suspect there are several forces converging here that are causing this problem to reach such a wide scale impact.

1: Twitter seems to have idled a fair amount of support staff, the people behind enforcement, and pivoted toward automating enforcement much more.

2/
2: There are ever more emboldened groups that are attempting to silence us. Working behind the scenes in groups to mass report accounts that they target.

3: Because enforcement is more automated, causing an account to become shadow banned is apparently easier without review.

3/
As a result, I am trying to help raise awareness and I suggest that you consider doing the same. If you see an account that has been impacted, take a screenshot from http://shadowban.eu  to illustrate the impact, tag the account and Twitter support in a plea to restore it.

4/
Here is an example of such a tweet. Feel free to use this as a template.

Reach out to your network of friends and followers here.

Ask them if they've been impacted. Show them how to check (see above tweet) and capture the evidence.

Remember that @Twitter runs on advertising, and its investors rely on increasing ad revenue growth.

If we're seeing this sort of massive impact, much like we did during the deboosting days of Q3 2019, then chances are Twitter's earnings will take a hit from lower engagement.

6/
That means we have an opportunity here to reach out not just to Twitter directly, but to tech journalists, Twitter's largest investors and their advertisers to let them know that enforcement is fundamentally broken (yet again).

Want to get more involved? Keep reading.

Below you'll find a list of $TWTR's ( @Twitter) largest investors.

Many of these firms have social media presences.

Each of them has an interest in Twitter growing its advertising revenue, which is difficult if the enforcement mechanisms are limiting engagement.

8/
During Q3 of 2019 $TWTR took an earnings hit from reduced ad revenue growth, and as we saw in mid-December of 019 they began to back off of mass deboosting.

Then the next earnings report was more positive, w/more ad revenue growth.

Coincidence? I don't think it was.

9/
There is an advertising transparency center on @Twitter that lists their advertisers. It's worth a look.

We should endeavor to make a list of their biggest advertisers and let them know exactly what is happening to our accounts here.

It may also be constructive to reach out to @Twitter's board of directors, some of whom have social media presences here.

You'll find a list in the link below.

They may not be fully aware of how broken enforcement is.

Be polite and concise.

There's also a direct contact page to reach out to the board. This can also be used as a mechanism to reach out.

Again, please be polite and concise. They probably receive a lot of inquiries every day. Make yours stand out.

Twitter, like any other publicly traded company, has a fiduciary responsibility to its investors to generate more revenue every quarter.

Because their enforcement approach is undermining that responsibility they have to reconcile this problem.

Let's raise awareness.

13/
I am confident that @Jack does not want his platform to be undermined by broken automated enforcement mechanisms employed by @TwitterSupport which are harming our experience, his company's revenue, investors' returns and advertisers' reach.

14/
So let's shake things up and keep raising awareness until we see some material improvement. Twitter was not built to be a censorship regime -- and to their credit they have, at times, fought against just that.

Let's hope they'll do so again this time.
