It's very "heh, actually" to say this, but it's one of the things modern fantasy gets wrong the most. Our perception of what's a light weapon to use and what takes a lot of strength is all messed up.

Greatswords take less strength to use effectively than shortswords https://twitter.com/Switchpoint/status/1249230377958494210
Why? Because they use both hands. So unless you're Guts one-handing it, you'll be much more skillful more easily with less strength.

Even the heaviest greatswords aren't THAT heavy either - the heaviest, a Zweihander, is like 6kg tops. Average is 2/3 kg.
And this relates to the original tweet because the weapon that takes the most strength to use effectively, by far, is the bow.

English longbow had 70/80 kg draw weights (that being the strength you have to put in to pull it back). Bowmen trained their whole lives for it, and
often they had deformities due to it.

The skeletons of the archers showed enlarged left arms, twisted spines, and thickened joints around the left wrist, left shoulder, and right fingers.

With shortbows it's less - around 25kg to be able to kill elk/moose.

But tiny Lara Croft?
Other true things we don't acknowledge:

- sword fights were much more brutal and physical
- main battlefield weapon was the spear with a backup dagger, most people didn't have swords
- heavy armor is fucking brutally op, isn't heavy, and anyone inside it is practically a god
Dude I'd love a game where we'd have a more realistic take on these things, while also being fun.

"Oh, if plate armor is so OP, why wouldn't everyone just get it?"

Because it cost the equivalent of 1$-3$ million.
Fat rolling in Dark Souls is a myth, unless you were fat to begin with. It doesn't hinder your agility, why would it?

I mean, why do you think knights and lords loved warfare so much? They could just go in and slaughter everyone. It's IRL Dynasty Warriors, but easier.
Arrows, swords, etc., nothing pierced plate. In fact, the two main ways of "beating" plate armor are:
- using something like a mace, concussive force, that breaks bones without breaking the armor
- trying to shove a dagger in weak spots, such as the hinges or behind the legs
The issue with that as a weakness is that if you're trying to do either of those things to a well trained fully equipped knight, you're fucked already. Close quarters with a death machine? You're a goner

This is realistic (skip to 6m mark to see fight):
