For those of us with long term chronic illness, the whole experience of being on lockdown is like...well, you now know how it feels and maybe be more empathetic toward this of us who haven't always had a choice in how we live.
I was pretty annoyed when, for many years now, some of my colleagues were a bit, shall we say nasty, spreading rumors about me being a recluse, and losing my creative edge, and I'm all...OK, whatevs, but you're getting a taste of it now, salty 'aint it?
My issues are well in hand now. I'm no longer disabled. But it would be great if people didn't make assumptions about the way others live their lives. Some people don't have much choice. Some people aren't losing their edge or reclusive. They're disabled. Don't be a dick about it
This tweet thread could have been a lot meaner, I could have named names and used examples. But...I just won the Bram Stoker Award, and I'm feeling generous, so whatevs. I'm going to make more comics.
