TikTok follows the same pattern of political censorship as western social media companies, despite being owned by the Chinese.

Here& #39;s why [1/5] https://twitter.com/NickJFuentes/status/1253424688560128001">https://twitter.com/NickJFuen...
It& #39;s true that Chinese censors don& #39;t care much about the priorities of western SJWs. They have other concerns: Uighurs, Hong Kong protesters, Tibetan independence advocates, the Falun Gong, Tiananmen square talk, etc.

However, TikTok wants to succeed in the U.S [2/5]
Because of that, TikTok& #39;s western arm operates in much the same vein as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube. That includes hiring the same content moderators who censor you on those platforms.

TikTok also doesn& #39;t want to be banned from the app stores. The status quo prevails. [3/5]
Western elites & media will attack TikTok for censoring Chinese dissidents.

But they& #39;ll also attack TikTok for *not* censoring the usual suspects in the west, just as they did Twitter, FB, YouTube, etc.

Free speech is for foreign dissidents, not Americans! [4/5]
Every new platform that grows to a sufficient size will censor. Chinese companies trying to succeed in the US will follow American censorship norms, just as western companies do in China.

We return to the same solution: industry-wide regulation! Section 230 reform![5/5]
