I don't understand why so many ppl put more emphasis on Ben's death than anything else. every single character was done wrong in TROS. Rey was done more of a disservice as a character - for what she stood for, for the female fandom - than Ben dying.

y'all say it all the time - Ben could come back! okay, let's say he does. what about the character assassination of Rey? what about what cannot be undone with her character? her backstory? her legacy? she will never be the same. but Ben got to keep his character.

I DO NOT hinge every hope on the possibility of Ben coming back because that alone DOES NOT MATTER. too many things would have to be corrected. it butchered too many other themes I care about. I don't just care about ONE fictional character. I cared about them ALL. it SUCKS

Rey was my symbol. she was the potential. she had SO MUCH waiting for her. Ben included.

but they fucked it up. I will never forgive them for this but I remain a SW fan regardless. I'm screwed.
