It can’t be said enough: Trump just isn’t very intelligent.

A movement that celebrates ignorance & sacrifices its principles because of how aggressively the ignorance attacks political opponents is a movement that ultimately says and does nothing of lasting consequence.

Nothing of consequence for the movement’s original aims, that is. The celebration of ignorance does have lasting effects: the erosion of America’s institutions & the corrosion of our character. But, hey—at least it will have felt good to “own the libs.”
