DA eclipse ugliness aside, are we just not gonna talk about the numerous security issues it caused as well as the fact that DA staff keep turning it on for people with it disabled as though nobody's going to notice

remember that time Eclipse gave way to a group breach that basically allowed anyone to add themselves to any group's moderator section?

the userbase has been asking and asking DeviantArt to spare them from the Eclipsalypse not because they're just attached to the old design (though it may be a small part of the reason), but because Eclipse is unfriendly and has brought nothing but negativity to a lot of people

we gave it a chance when it came out. eclipse has had quite a while to change our minds. it spent that time breaking a site that wasn't broken and upsetting the userbase.

remember when tumblr refused to listen to its userbase and made drastic site changes against their will? yeah, how'd that work out for them?
you can't treat your userbase like shit and ignore them and still expect to keep said userbase.
