... this difference is driven entirely by higher per capita federal income tax payments by residents of NY. So if you have a problem with this, you basically have a problem with the progressive nature of the US Federal Income Tax system.
Now if libs want to say that progressive taxation is theft and morally unjustified, I say bring it on, let us see you support a flat income tax. If you don't then please just STFU spreading nonsense like the above.
Just because NY (or NJ or CT) has a bunch of super rich Wall street people living there and paying a boatload in federal income tax, it doesn't mean the average New Yorker is subsidizing any resident of other states.
