⟶ rogue has the involuntary ability to absorb (and also remove) the memories, physical strength, and superpowers of any sentient being she touches. her power set, skills and physique constantly shift and adjust to the powers of the being she establishes physical contact with.

• multiple power absorption.

rogue has the ability to absorb various beings and manifest their powers and abilities simultaneously. the durability of the absorption depends on how long she touches them. in some cases, the absorption can be permanent.

1) rogue absorbs cyclops’ optic-blasts and refracts them by using emma frost’s diamond form, being able to hit several targets with a single attack.

the process of rogue’s absorption is involuntary and highly inestable. her mutation will react defensively and absorb all the life-force of the being she’s touching depending on her emotional state, or how long she maintains physical contact.

9) rogue permanently absorbs captain marvel’s entire life-force and psyche, while being a member of the brotherhood of mutants. she gains all of her powers and her half-kree biology. this encounter left carol danvers in a coma.

10) sunfire willingly offers rogue his powers after losing both of his legs during a fight with lady deathstrike. the skin-to-skin contact gets prolonged when blindspot pushes rogue and she accidentally absorbs all of his powers. sunfire was left powerless.

11) rogue permanently absorbs wonder-man’s powers and accidentally traps him in her mind. she loses control over her mutation due the trauma of having a foreign personality inside her mind again. he eventually was freed, but rogue kept his powers.

rogue’s absorption abilities reach the extent of being able to assimilate and manifest the powers of alien, divine, celestial and non-mortal beings in general.

12) rogue absorbs ares’ divine powers and is able to assimilate and manifest at least half of his godly powers. she leaves him weakened by the absorption and eventually fights against moonstone before the powers wear off.

13) as a member of the brotherhood of mutants, rogue fights against the avengers and defeats them. in the process, she temporarily absorbs thor’s divine powers. in an alternate universe, she became the god of thunder.

16) rogue destroys hecatomb - a shi'ar weapon of mass destruction that had absorbed a total of 18 billion minds since its creation. rogue absorbed all the minds inside of hecatomb and iceman contained the energy of the explosion by freezing it.

17) temporarily removes exodus’ teleporting abilities.

18) temporarily de-powers hulk and is able to access to bruce banner’s mind, who was unable to contain hulk’s rage. she absorbs his powers and is forced to free him before succumbing to her rage.

• psychic resistance.

rogue’s chaotic state of mind makes her highly resistant to psychic attacks. the presence of all the residues of the psyches she absorbed over the years makes nearly impossible for a telepath to break-through her mind.

19) charles xavier access to rogue’s mind and is soon overwhelmed by the chaotic state of the same.

20) leash tries to break-through rogue’s mind but her chaotic mind-state is virtually impossible to penetrate by an outsider. she’s immune to her psychic attacks and eventually frees herself.

21) rogue refugees herself on her own mind to cope with the abuse she suffered at hands of the guards at a genoshan prison and willingly let’s captain marvel’s personality to take over her body in order to escape and save wolverine.
