Gender-based violence (GBV) is built on a foundation that perceives women as inferior to men, subject to control & dehumanization. A perception that is fostered by not acknowledging the seriousness of sexual violence. Keep that in mind when you engage in “humour”on social media.

anyone who participates in or encourages jokes about rape, doxxing (especially sex workers), sexual assault, harassment etc indirectly (and perhaps directly considering they have little issue with dehumanizing women) contributes to gender based violence and that is the tea

expecting a lot of *crickets* from many men in response to this. if you are incapable of making this connection, shall I suggest logging off social media for a bit and focus on expanding your knowledge on the severity of GBV and the role you play to perpetuate or address it.

actually yenno what, that’s unfair to many men whom i know are anti- GBV advocates and allies. this goes for you as well women, as i know many are equally as complicit in this practice as well.
