lady gaga ended 2012 reviling in the success of the last 2 years of her career, her most recent song marry the night had been a moderate success being a top 20 hit in the UK and peaking at #29 in the USA.
However, her 2010-2012 success was already fading

2013 saw lady gaga bring us the Art Pop era, it’s lead single Appluse was widely on release hated by both the public and critics receiving negative reviews across the broad and setting in motion the idea gaga was losing her talent and position as one of the top dogs in music

applauses was a moderate success in the US peaking at #4, it was however lady gaga’s lowest peaking lead single and the song performed badly worldwide only peaking at #11 in Australia and just into the top 10 in the UK
