A quick plannery guide for businesses in preparing for the level 4 lockdown stage as declared
1. Create an action plan ASAP that addresses the following :
# Health and safety regulations as communicated, that will also be gazetted I.e.Deep cleaning plan, installation of hand sanitiser dispensers, access control measures, workstation protection screens for open plan office
2. To apply the phased approach of staff returning to work, you can draft a criticality table with the most critical department/individuals returning to work first, you can go as far as even doing a time table with names of your employees on who is returning to the office by when
but also remember if there are those who would still opt to can work from home leave them for last so they can continue working from home.
NB: consider the 1/3 rule of the phased approach
3. Identify those with pre-existing chronic conditions or high risk employees and if possible let them continue to work from home and give them support where necessary and on the critical table above, they will then be moved to return to the office last, when it's safe to do so.
(prioritise your employees health as much as you can, you don't want to stand the risk of shutting down your entire company because of failing to observe rules to help not only employees but also yourself as a business owner /runner in terms of disease control management)
4. With all gatherings banned - rethink your sales strategy for you products and services, especially if your kind of business relies on foot traffic
5. Review current contracts against your new normal, renegotiate contracts where necessary or cancel them earlier, you don't want to keep paying a service provider that you are not using by not pre-engaging them earlier)
And remember you have only one week left to do the above or some of it, should you be planning to go back on the 1st week, all the best 😊. Livhuwani Mulaudzi, Executive :Finance and Operations SABPP @xolani_mawande @mariusmeyerza @SiphiweMoyo @Julius_S_Malema @PresidencyZA
