Another opinion on fake shirts - digital print / sublimation does not automatically mean the shirt is fake. Example 1) Many Serie A sides produced in the 90s and early 2000s a fully sublimated cheaper, but official, version of their shirt. 1/2
2) Adidas made a lot of early 90s shirts for example Holland, PSV, Germany in full sublimation. They also made the same versions with embroidery badges. Both are legitimate.
Just because there isn’t an embroidery / woven badge or bear press sponsor doesn’t mean the shirt is fake
Source- experience from a few nasty eBay cases, common sense and experience.

Fake shirt opinion two- Just because your shirt is made in one country it doesn’t mean one made in another country is fake.
Examples- If you bought a Nike 90s Brazil NT shirt in Brazil it would be made in Brazil. Buy it in other parts of the world and it may be made somewhere else- both are legit!
Germany 1990- made in both Yugoslavia and Hungary.
Nigeria 1994 Malaysian factories had an official license to make some- most aren’t made there.
Puma licensed Mexican factories for northern American replicas in the 90s
Final opinion for this evening. Fake shirts are often made in huge quantities. Likely in similar factories to the ones that make the real deal. It’s not economically viable to fake a league two shirt, or a relegation battling Ligue 1 sides shirt.
The big selling shirts currently and in the past are the ones 99% faked. But there is an anomaly.

An increasing amount of smaller clubs fans are making their own repro’s. This is likely a response to the naff versions the club has brought out or people like toffs do
Or due to the rising costs of original vintage shirts!

I’ve seen a lot of these made in Pakistan where smaller qty is more viable. BUT these shirts won’t have woven labels and likely just a generic size label- it’s not economically viable to do replica labels on the small qty.
That isn’t a dig at anyone doing them! There’s a few WBA ones on Etsy atm that look great and give more fans access to classic designs at a cheaper price BUT it should be easy to spot for those wanting the real deal 👌
